Virtual and augmented reality exposure for social anxiety

A headset can put someone in a social situation they would otherwise go a long way to avoid, and eye tracking can show us what they do with their attention once they are in it. Earlier work in this line tested whether actively guiding where people look during virtual reality exposure improves the outcome. The current work extends that to augmented reality, where the social situation is laid over the room the person is actually standing in.
