Applying to the lab
The Transdiagnostic Intervention Lab focuses on three main areas:
- Interventions that address transdiagnostic feature of mental health
- Use of a range of technological platforms and approaches for interventions: telehealth, virtual reality, augmented reality, and self-guided internet-based, eye-tracking
- Responsible Use of Large Language Models and Generative AI
Students will have the opportunity to take part in the research process at all levels:
- Original intervention research (development of an intervention, psychological assessment, intervention administration, data analysis, and presentation/publication)
- Assessment/intervention research using wide range of technologies
- Secondary analyses of existing datasets utilizing a range of statistical approaches (e.g., Bayesian multilevel modeling, network analysis, etc.)
- Obtain intervention and assessment hours as part of the lab supplemental practicum that I supervise.
Ongoing research efforts include:
- Virtual reality/Augmented Reality for the treatment of social anxiety
- Self-guided internet-based treatment for social anxiety
- Online Writing Intervention for PTSD
- Testing chatbot based mental health assessment (eevalbot)
Expectations:
- Attend and participate in weekly lab meetings (Mondays at 10am)
- Individual meetings at least 1x/month
- Ongoing contribution to at least one research project (based on the best fit between student interest and project/lab needs)
- Involvement in conference presentations and publications

Select students will be invited to interview to learn more about their possible fit with the lab. Accepted students will be notified on the PAU uniform notification date.
